For every product, Envato provides a tags section, where you can enter max 15 keywords that describes your product. Based on this your product has been displayed while users do a search for that particular product with a ranking.
Of course lot of other parameter decides at which rank your product is displayed. like,
- No. of Sales
- No. of Reviews
- Overall Rating
- How old is your product
and might a few more as well.
But if you haven’t specified the right keywords for your product then all other factors are not adding value at all. Envato can not understand what your product is all about. so choosing the right keyword is a very critical part of your product.
Unless your product is displayed in search results, it won't be downloaded.
In my journey, I’ve seen a lot of Envato authors who did not put attention and effort into defining the right keywords for their products. They just put any random keywords and then complain that their products are not downloaded.
